Britney Spears was born in December 1981 in McComb, Mississippi, to parents Lynne and Jamie Spears. She has two siblings, Bryan and Jamie Lynn. At age 8, she began starring in the children’s television series The Mickey Mouse Club (1993-1994), where she met future pop stars Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
After moving to New York City at age 14 to pursue a career in show business, Spears signed with Jive Records in 1997 and released her debut album …Baby One More Time (1999) when she was only 17 years old.
