Biography: Robert Pattinson
Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson was born on 13 May 1986 to Clare and Richard Pattinson in London, England. His mother worked for a modeling agency, and his father was a product manufacturer. Pattinson has one younger sister named Lizzy. He attended Tower House School and Harrodian School, and he later studied at the University of Roehampton.
Pattinson began his acting career in theatre at the age of 15, performing in a London club. He then made his film debut by playing Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter film series. He gained worldwide recognition for portraying Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga film series. After starring in romantic dramas Remember Me and Water for Elephants, Pattinson received critical acclaim for his performances in independent films, receiving several accolades for portraying Timothy “T.J.” Solomon in the drama film How to Be (2010). He portrayed photographer David Bailey in Anton Corbijn’s biopic of 1960s model Jean Shrimpton, titled We’ll Take Manhattan (2012). As well as acting, Pattinson plays guitar, bass and drums. He sang several tracks for Twilight film series including “Let Me Sign”, “No Sound But a Heart”, “Never Think”, and played in the live band of the films’ concerts.
